Fixes/Enhancements ================== Previous release: 18.5.0 Current release: 18.8.0 Enhancements ------------ - The i40e and i40evf Linux* drivers now support ADq (Application Directed queueing), which allows queues to be directed to specific applications. - The i40e Linux* driver now supports VFd (SR-IOV Virtual Function daemon), which manages configuration and resources of VFs and PFs. Fixes --------- - Resolved issue that allowed disabling of auto-negotiation when the link is down on Intel(R) Ethernet Controller XXV710 for 25Gbe backplane adapters. - The Family Driver Version reported by Dell iDRAC will appear as "Unavailable" on Intel(R) I350, X520, and X540 based network adapters. - Resolved issue that may result in a 'Resource temporarily unavailable' message when a VF is attached to a VM with Linux* distros based on kernel version 3.10 and higher. - Resolved an issue with the i40evf Linux* driver in which the value of TSO, GSO and GRO flags get reset to default values when the MTU value is modified when the host OS is ESXi. - Resolved an issue in which link speed is not restored back to 10Gb after setting link speed to 1Gb with Intel(R) 25G XXV710 adapters with dual speed 10/1G LR optics. - Resolved an issue that caused the i40e Linux* driver to not re-initialize properly when a PF reset occurred while a core global reset is in progress. Known Issues ============= - The i40evf Linux driver may result in 'no link' after toggling promiscuous mode when used in a guest OS and the host OS is ESXi 6.5 U1 with the Intel(R) X710 as the PF and i40en 1.5.8 as the driver.
