Go to Dell web support site: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/intel-pro-adapters/manuals Known Issues ============ Note: Microsoft Stop Code INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE occurs when installing Windows Server 2016 via iSCSI boot on Intel(R) I350 adapters using inbox drivers. SR-IOV Performance ------------------ For best SR-IOV performance, allow the VMs to use 4 queues by executing the following PowerShell command on the host OS, "Set-VMNetworkAdapter 'VM_Name' -IovQueuePairsRequested 4", and assign 4 or more virtual CPUs to the VM. From the VM, in Device Manager, set the 'Maximum number of RSS Queues" option to '4' in the properties of the adapter that includes "Virtual Function" in its name. Linux Guest virtual machine crashes ----------------------------------- Devices based on the Intel 710 Series of network controllers do not support Linux as the SR-IOV guest operating system on any Microsoft Windows Server Hyper-V Host. Incorrect branding strings -------------------------- Intel(R) X700 Series devices, Intel(R) Gigabit 4P X550/I350 rNDC, and Intel(R) Ethernet 10G 4P X550/I350 rNDC may display incorrect branding strings in Windows Device Manager. This issue does not affect the functionality of the device. This issue only affects Microsoft* Windows Server* 2016. Binding errors with uio_pci_generic DPDK drivers on Linux --------------------------------------------------------- Binding the uio_pci_generic drivers to an X710/XL710 device may fail due to a hardware limitation. Use the vfio/vfio-pci module to enable DPDK instead of the uio_pci_generic module to workaround the issue.
