Windows Server 2012 - Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 * Microsoft Microsoft Windows 7 x64, Windows 8.1 x64 and Windows 10 x64 are only supported on - Intel(R) Gigabit 4P X540/I350 rNDC - Intel(R) Gigabit 4P I350-t rNDC - Intel(R) Ethernet 10G 4P X540/I350 rNDC * Microsoft Windows 32bit Operating Systems are not supported in this release. Linux Kernels supported ----------------------- RHEL 6.7 x64 v2.6.32-573 RHEL 7.1 x64 v3.10.0-299 RHEL 7.2 x64 v3.10.0-313 SLES11 SP4 x64 v3.0.101-63 SLES12 SP1 x64 v3.12.49-11 Fixes/Enhancements ================== Previous release: 17.0.0 Current release: 17.5.0 New Hardware Support -------------------- - Intel(R) Ethernet 10G 2P X550-t Adapter - Intel(R) Ethernet Converged Network Adapter XL710-Q2 - Intel(R) Ethernet 40G 2P XL710 QSFP+ rNDC - Intel(R) Gigabit I350-t LOM Enhancements ------------ - Enable or Disable Npar from Intel Proset in Windows Device Manager - The Dell Linux Driver Update Disk Images (DUDs) are now in the ISO format - Bootutilw64.exe is now installed in the \Program Files\Intel\BootUtil directory - When you run appwiz.cpl (Add/Remove Programs) in Windows Server, you can now modify the options for "Intel(R) Network Connections" software with a Modify button Fixes --------- - Intel Proset now shows VPort Availability information if SR-IOV is enabled after Intel Proset is installed - Software Driver Update no longer shows success when user chooses not to continue the install due to MMC (Microsoft Management Console) being open - Wake On LAN from shutdown does not work on Linux OSes if WOL is disabled in "Device Settings" found in F2 System Setup - Installing the Driver Update Package using the /f switch in Windows Server is now functional - In Linux, one link in a two port bond went into an "Unknown" state - Driver install will now function in Windows Server Core without WoW64 - Intermittent adapter initialization error when running diagnostics on X710 adapters in Windows - Intel Proset and Advanced Network services options are now displayed in the installer while installing the Virtual Function driver in a Virtual Machine - The Jumbo Frame setting now works with the X710 NIC when Npar is enabled after a reboot in Windows 2012 R2 - Falsely reported IntelDCB Errors will no longer appear in the Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Event Viewer on Intel X710 adapters - In ESXi and Linux, false "PHY Type" Warnings will no longer appear for Intel X710 bNDCs in error logs Known Issues ============= - Link state changes are not detected while running "Identify" operation from Link Speed tab in Windows Device Manager. The workaround is to disable and enable the adapter from Device Manager. - When using a balance-alb bond in Linux that consists of an Intel 10GBase-T port and an Intel SFP+ port, the bond may become unresponsive when failover occurs. The workaround is to bond ports of the same type. For example, bond an SFP+ port with another SFP+ port. Legal / Disclaimers =================== Copyright (C) 2016, Intel Corporation.
